We express our mission through biblical scholarship and love-filled, practical kingdom expressions, all rooted in making space for the presence of God.
Founder and Director
Extravagant Ministries, directed by Laura Edmondson, is based in Kansas City yet has a heart for the global church. A licensed minister with the Apostolic Network of Global Awakening, Laura is filled with excitement about God. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in theology with the ultimate goal of helping others unlock their divine destiny. Laura’s life was transformed when she had a vision of two hands reaching out to embrace her with saving love, revealing God’s heart to her. This profound experience led to the founding of Extravagant Ministries to bring others into encounters with God’s love.
Our foundation is Christ-centric, with an emphasis on the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Each week, we host Bible studies, equipping groups, worship, and encounter services. These activities are not just about learning, but they are about personal growth and empowerment, motivating and encouraging all who participate. Preaching and teaching are regular occurrences at local churches and women’s retreats. Laura is involved in jail ministry and ministers on short-term mission trips as a practical outflow of the ministry of God’s love.

We are here to strengthen and support your church by speaking at events and offering team ministry services. Our team, consisting of individuals with diverse and complementary gifts, is available to minister on altar teams or provide one-on-one ministry. We specialize in prophetic encouragement and praying for healing of the sick, always emphasizing the divine love of God.
As the Director, Laura is also available to offer expertise in writing curriculum and creating custom Bible studies, teaching at your Bible school or special event, and preaching at your local church. These services emphasize creating a Christ-focused environment that encourages encounters with the Holy Spirit.
